MFC Founders:
Joelle Kekhoua is a co-owner of the Mental Fitness Center (MFC). She a Licensed Professional Counselor and is certified to supervise Limited Licensed Professional Counselors as well as counseling interns from local Universities. She is a practitioner that holds the philosophy that wellness is achieved by balancing the three components of Psychological, Environmental and Physiological in an integrative manner. She works with couples, families, and adults that struggle with a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, and various acute and chronic health conditions (i.e. Lyme Disease/co-infections, PANS/PANDAS, mold toxicity) providing services ranging from counseling to wellness coaching to group support and education. Through supporting a natural and holistic approach to health, she has helped countless people achieve wellness in her nearly 25 years of experience. She believes in giving back to the community and has co-founded a Community Service Program at the MFC offering pro bono services to those in need. She offers professional training to other professionals (corporate wellness coaching, healthcare professional training, etc) as well as training to future professionals by teaching at Oakland University in the Counseling department. Joelle's current training, memberships, & affiliations include: ACT, DBT (Linehan), CBT/ERP (Beck), International OCD Foundation, Association for Contextual Behavioral Science, American Counseling Association, Michigan Mental Health Counselors Association
Linda M L Bull is a co-owner of the Mental Fitness Center. Linda is an LLP and child/family therapy. She works with children, adolescents, individuals and families. She specializes in developmental disabilities, Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, OCD, PANDAS/PANS, chronic illness, behavior challenges, parent & family skill training and communication/social skill training. Linda is skilled in working with individuals of all ages as well a variety of family dynamics including divorce issues, couples counseling and parent-child relationships and specifically enjoys working with mothers and young children.
Linda works from an integrative perspective and holds the philosophy that wellness is achieved by balancing the three components of Psychological, Environmental and Physiological. She seeks to educate and facilitate the understanding of the effects that physical and environmental factors have on mental health and wellness as well as on achieving behavioral change and well-being. Linda has extensive personal and professional experience working with individuals with chronic illness including infections, mold toxicity, Lyme Disease, PANDAS/PANS, autoimmune or immune system issues. She has been supporting and helping individuals and families struggling with chronic health issues for the last 10 years.
Linda received a Master’s of Science, from the Clinical Behavioral Psychology program at Eastern Michigan University and has worked for over 20 years with individuals with developmental/behavior issues. She co-founded the Mental Fitness Center and has been working in private practice for the past 10 years. Linda created the SUPERKIDS program which focuses on evaluation of strengths & needs as well as providing support for children and adolescents with extraordinary needs. She believes strongly in giving back to the community, providing resources and educating others. She is passionate about helping others learn, grow and achieve their physical and emotional wellness goals.
